ONGOING MINDFULNESS BREAKS

Two options:

Option 1: This can be 15 minutes to half and hour, 1x or more times a week. I lead a mindfulness meditation practice that can be done at a desk, including compassion practices, mindfulness of breath, open awareness, guided body scan etc. Sometimes a theme is built in- depending on world events or if there is a focus the company is exploring.

Option 2: Sessions of “Deskside Stretch” a series of seated and occasional standing stretches to relieve, eye, neck, shoulder and back tension! These don’t require a yoga mat and are non-sweat inducing, so perfect for those who spend a lot of time seated at a computer.

  • For multiple times a week you can choose to rotate options 1 & 2: Keeps it fresh by alternating practices
  • 15 min is suited to simply dive into a practice, or:
  • Half hour can include time for questions or reflections and generous time for practices
  • Benefits: calmness, mental clarity, release of physical tension, greater sense of camaraderie, ability to listen

MINDFULNESS for STRESSFUL TIMES

THIS is a 6-8 week long course that covers the basics of mindfulness meditation & related practices. The teaching style is through direct practice with a bit of lecture and breakout room discussion if appropriate.

Employees will get a sense of the direct benefits of meditation each time as well as the positive aftereffects such as:

  • greater calm
  • ability to listen to new viewpoints
  • greater insight & creativity in problem solving
  • more ease in social interactions
  • increase focus

Program details:

Length: typically 50-60min.

Timing: 1 weekly training session. Plus 1 weekly Q&A, office hours (30 min.) for questions that arise for the individual.

Delivery: via Zoom (typically) other options can be considered. Sessions would be recorded for viewing as needed.
