MEDITATION:

“Patient and considerate, Kala provided a useful introductory course on meditation. I especially appreciate how she effectively explains salient concepts from a non-religious perspective. —- CT Chan, Postdoctoral Researcher, Cornell University

“I very much enjoyed working with Kala. Her meditation sessions have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and I benefited from learning basic meditation techniques such as the body scan and walking meditation. Kala helped me deal with stress and sleeping problems, and I can certainly recommend her as a meditation instructor.  -Tom S., Professor

Kala’s approach to meditation instruction is thorough, gentle, and grounded in a deep understanding of simple relaxation techniques. As someone who had taken mindfulness-based meditation classes before but had not kept up with my practice, I was inspired by Kala’s example and guidance to make a commitment to daily meditation. He instruction has transformed the way I react in the moment to stress, allowing me to be more compassionate and patient with others. —-M. S., editor

…before the program began my meditation practice was a hit or miss. I did not meditate every day nor did I meditate at any time for more than 10 minutes. So, of course, I was not seeing any benefits in my meditation practice.
During the course of the program, after a guided meditation with Vivinne, I had the realization that through meditation I can access a sanctuary within myself where I am able to experience complete peace of mind and sit in the presence of God .
Now, I meditate at least once a day everyday and for at least 20 minutes each time.

I was dealing with the death of my father and the demands of my workload (I am a healthcare worker) during COVID-19 and felt very detached and out of balance. I needed something/someway to become more centered. After taking Vivienne’s mindfullness meditation course I am able to be more mindful of my thoughts, feelings and surroundings which allows me to feel more centered and balanced.   N. Alexander
